A redesign of a legacy HR product suite experience for employee, supervisor, and super-admin personas, with new calendar and team-availability concepts.
Challenge
The existing time and leave management application was a legacy interface with complex user roles and dated interaction patterns. The redesign needed to improve clarity while staying aligned with product suite standards and competitive expectations.
What I did
Legacy audit
Studied existing IA, task flows, pain points, and persona needs across employees, supervisors, and administrators.
Calendar view
Introduced a new calendar model to make time entries easier to scan and manage.
Team availability
Designed supervisor-facing workforce visibility to support planning and operational decisions.
Outcome
Calendar view and team availability became useful differentiators within the Banner HR suite, making the workflow more visual, responsive, and easier to manage across personas.
